Welcome!

We are a social club that gets together regularly because we share an interest in photography.  We encourage the development of photographic skills and artistic creativity through our club night exhibitions, workshops, and other club activities.

We are a member of the West Australian Photographic Federation.

Our club, formerly known as the Bunbury Camera Club has been around since 1954.  We are a friendly club for photographers of all levels, from beginner to advanced.

Visitors are welcome to attend our club night meetings, held on the last Thursday of each Month at 7:00pm, at Stirling Street Arts Centre. You do not need to give prior notice.  You do not need to bring a camera or any photographic equipment to a regular meeting.

President’s Welcome

Hi, if you’re reading this message, congratulations, you have navigated your way into our new system.

This year sees a significant change in our operating model with the migration to our new website, whilst it can be a challenge to get familiar with a new system, we will be conducting a number of “check ins” on club night to assist everyone in the transition and I’m sure it wont take long for you to get the hang of it.

Our topics this year look to provide you with a combination of challenges both technically and creatively, I’m looking forward to viewing your images this year.

Again, the club will compete in a number of external competitions and I’m looking forward to more of our members participating. If you have never submitted an image for one of these comps why not give it a go this year.

We are always on the lookout for people to judge our competitions over the year, if you are aware of anyone that may like to contribute please contact Li Leng with some information – note: the judge does not necessarily have to have a photography background but may be an artist etc.

If you have any feedback or ideas on how we may improve or a photographic opportunity (photoshoot), please contact a committee member.

Finally, I would like to say thankyou to our outgoing committee members from 2021 and wish all of you a successful 2022 photography year.

Mike
